My love for photography began early. I was 5 when I purchased a plastic Diana camera, and after shooting the first roll of 120 film, my father and I went to a makeshift darkroom he had created in our basement, developed the film and made contact prints. This was the closest thing to magic I had ever experienced.
I gained new perspective on seeing the world through a different lens. My family moved to Europe in the 1960’s, which provided an opportunity for me to capture European life from the perspective of a North American youth. This experience cultivated a life-long love of street-photography. I went to the University of Missouri Photo Journalism program, but ultimately dropped out to open a restaurant. From there I moved to LA working in the film industry. If there was a job in a film, I did it - ultimately getting a Unio Card as a makeup artist.
Lots of great things have happened in my life, especially changes in the photographic craft. Today I travel extensively and shoot quite a bit of street photography. My newest photo passion is software called Mylio. I have been beta testing it for six months, and it changes everything we know about capturing, storing, curating, sharing and protecting digital images. I am a power user of the program and happy to answer any questions about the product.
