Nicholas Iverson

I lived for the direction music was taking during the mid 90’s, and of course, capturing glimpses of it through my camera as I attended as many shows as possible. Going to collage in Bloomington, Indiana, I had this love for combining sound with pictures. For example, a band jamming on a misty stage, getting more passionate as the show continues, the fans swaying in unison with lighters burning bright. Right at that moment I am allowed to record a single second that can bring back the memory of that whole show, and maybe even more. It’s moments like these that truly inspired me to pick up my camera.

My name is Nick and I’m a photographer. I specialize in environmental portraiture, music and places, although it never limits my enthusiasm to experiment. While I attended Indiana University, where I received my BFA in Photography, I entertained several passions at once, such as playing in a band and creating art. My interest for both of these never subsided and they gave me valuable insight on expression. However, they also brought me closer to what I mainly do now – expression through photography.

My home is still in L.A and I spend most of my time there, but I still make regular trips back east to Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York. Everywhere I can find, see or hear inspiration, I’ll take it.
