Nicky Jameson

I'm Nicky Jameson - Fine Art Photographer from England based in Toronto. My mission is photography exploration connecting and reconnecting you with places and stories, memories and nostalgia. exploring the cities in which we live, discovering off-the-beaten track gems and connections with places that compel me to explore feelings emotions, expressing them through my art.
I aim to evoke a depth of feeling and share that “connection with place.” I’m inspired by old and beautiful architecture, historic landmarks, atmospheric landscapes, weather, seasons, transportation, scenic cityscapes and local neighbourhoods… all of which create my stories of every day urban living. The Toronto Waterfront is one of my signature themes. I manipulate light, layers and textures in my art photography to create the mood I feel expresses my “connection with home and place”… and the emotion at that precise moment in time, where ever home or place happens to be. I like to create moody, surreal yet realistic scenes that make us ask “Why?” or “What?” juxtaposing the old and the modern.
