Olivier Fahrni
Photographer Freelance since 2013, I took my first photographic steps in the region of Val-de-Travers, in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland where I was born. Having chosen a
commercial path at the end of my studies, I worked for several multinationals at different
levels of responsibility. These have enabled me to travel around the world and to be
confronted with other cultures. Initially active in accounting, then in improving financial
processes (with Six Sigma Black Belt certification), I finally decided to return to a world closer to my artistic ambitions, allowing me a life more balanced and more real. This quality of life allows me to best manage a multiple sclerosis diagnosed in 2012.
I have developed a very particular sensitivity in the importance and the fleetingness of the
moment. Translating the emotion and beauty of a place or a person is part of my ambitions.
From my previous professional activity, I have kept the confrontation with other cultures
and the desire to travel, as well as the rigor in the work, which allow me to continue to
progress in my activity as a photographer.
Navigating Switzerland and Greece, I live daily between these two complementary cultures,
which bring me a viewpoint of the world particularly rich and interesting.
