My passion for photography started as most amateur photographers do - as a way to document my families vacations and social gatherings. It wasn't until I started working for an offshore oil and gas company in Houston that I really started to study photography with serious intent.

That experience laid the groundwork for my next serious photographic endeavor - while working as an creative services specialist for a large Houston based engineering firm I was asked to take a few employee portraits to be used in the bids and proposals the company produced. Being new to the company and only knowing a handful of people I figured it would be only 10 - 15 portraits... well in the division that I support there are 175 in Houston alone - this is a global company. News spread and they started sending me to offices all over the US. So far I have provided over 3000 employee portraits. I am going to be extending my photography skills to the architectural field starting with capturing the end-of-project photos of two international airport terminals.

In addition to my day job I recently was given the unique opportunity to take over the lead photography duties of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo's World Championship BBQ Competition. The prior lead decided to retire after supporting the WCBBQ for over 15 yrs. This is providing me yet another golden opportunity for developing as a photographer and supporting a great organization - and sampling world class smoked meat is just a side perk!
