Robert Nowell

Robert Nowell is the Co creator of SproutingPhotographer.com. He is a podcast co host along with Bryan Caporicci and content creator. He is also Vice President of Sprout Studio.
Robert is a Canadian award winning photographer who started his photography business thirty two years ago. He’s a professor of photography at Mohawk College in Ontario and was a speaker at WPPI 2016. Robert has served as chair of the Professional Photographers of Canada -Ontario and of the Hamilton Niagara Branch of PPOC.
He is formally trained in photography and holds a Communication Arts degree from Fanshawe College. In the first phase of his career he was primarily a commercial photographer with clients such as US Energy, Johnson Mathey, Proctor and Gamble, World Vision Canada, StateFarm Canada, Iona Appliances, Great Gulf Homes and many more.
Over the years Robert has managed a staff of four with a studio of 3400 sq feet to his present studio attached to his home where he has streamlined his workflow to work solo.
These days his studio focuses more on weddings and portraits and in recent years Robert has added some big names to his portrait portfolio like music legends Phil Collins and Daryl Hall, broadway star Louise Pitrie and Remigio Pereira of “the Tenors” to name a few.
Robert is confident that great things lie ahead for photography professionals and is grateful for the opportunities he’s been given to contribute back to the industry.
