My life motto is complexity within the simplistic. A great example of this is the human eye. Often, when trying to shoot landscapes, I try to recreate what I see with my eyes, but, in reality, this is not as easy as it would seem. When we see the world we are looking through (if we are lucky) two lenses that have terrible corner resolution, a few blind spots, lots of sensor dust. These two lenses are connected to a sophisticated processor that performs a real-time composite in camera image corrections. So...what I see is an interpretation of what really is.

Photography, to me, is to find the art in relaying the interpretations of the scenes and people before us, and to try and best recreate that interpretation in an image that invokes the same feeling in others...if we are lucky.
