Sarita Ashkenazy

To let you know a little about myself, I will start by saying that I was born and raised in New York. My favorite things are getting lost at the MET, Starbucks, blood orange sorbet (or any fruit sorbet really), and spending time with my family and friends.

Since childhood I have always seen the world through a camera lens, constantly trying to see which angle would give me the most interesting shot. And if there wasn’t a camera on hand I would continue to look at things in that same way; tilt slightly to the left, add a little light here and so on. I love to create that breathtaking beauty that can only be achieved through photography.

I was educated at International Center of Photography, where I received my certificate in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism. I gained skills and techniques on how to create shots that can capture the moments that count.

I love working with children. Their effervescent smiles and playful giggles are golden moments that are a treasure to capture in a photo.
