Siddhartha De
Photographer, traveler, blogger, foodie, dog lover, science geek, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Dire Straits junkie... I've baked my own bread, roasted my own coffee, caught my own fish, rolled my own sushi, brewed my own beer. But it's my Nikon that, more than anything else, will get me out of bed at 3:00 AM to drive a hundred miles to take in a sunrise, or keep me out until 3:00 AM to catch the Milky Way. I'll take the road rather than fly across the country, all the better for stopping along the way to take it all in with my camera.
A native of India, I am fortunate to live in a land that has all the variety that a photographer could ask for... from arid deserts to rainforests, from rocky plateaus to fertile plains, from pristine beaches to the highest snow-capped mountains... wildlife... people, people, people, a multitude of cultures, colours and festivals... and beautiful golden light. And so there is nothing I like more than packing my gear and heading off to take it all in. I love photography of all kinds and do not restrict myself to any particular genre. My gear and lenses allow me to indulge in portrait, street, landscape, macro, food, night-time and strobe photography, so I'm happy to just keep my eyes open and take in the world around me... through my lens, of course.
I enjoy taking pictures, talking about photography, and sharing tips and experiences, so please visit my website and get in touch with me if you have any questions or comments.
