Sivuyisiwe Giba

Sivuyisiwe Giba is a passionate documentary filmmaker and a digital multimedia videographer, she is also passionate about photography from documentary photography and fashion experimental photography and that is where she is always showing her creative side of experimental photoshoots. Sivuyisiwe is also highly passionate about Youth Skills Development and she also runs programs where she trains youth in Mdantsane (Second Biggest Township in South Africa) basic business skills, documentary photography, basic filmmaking skills, as well as how they can market and run a sustainable business. The program is a great success and also Sivuyisiwe offers them 2 year mentorship in oder to make sure they really do breakthrough the first year of business. Sivuyisiwe is also an adventurer, traveller and highly inspired by nature and wild life as well as landscapes. Sivuyisiwe is also an apprentice for indigenous stories deep in rural areas in Eastern Cape. Sivuyisiwe is also an advocate for youth education in township high school and she has introduced documentary screenings in township school that engage the youth to lead them towards making participatory films.
