Stephen Davies
I am very fortunate to live in the wonderful county of Cornwall in the far south west corner of England.
I first became seriously interested in photography in 1983 when I bought a 35mm SLR film camera (a Minolta X700). Shortly afterward I set up a home darkroom using a second-hand Durst Enlarger and began processing my own films. I also started to print monochrome & colour prints from negatives and Cibachrome prints from transparencies (slide film). In 1987 I switched to a Nikon F3 35mm SLR and also a Mamiya (Medium Format) camera. The F3 (which I still have for film photography) served me faithfully until I finally ‘went digital’ in 2008 - currently I am using Canon Sony and Leica digital cameras and lenses.
I enjoy photographing a variety of subjects and have never really focused (no pun intended) on any particular style or genre.
My other interests include: sport, european cinema, a wide variety of music
