About Leonardo
I have been an amateur photographer since I was eight years old. My first camera was a little “tekinha”, a simple plastic-bodied camera very popular in Brazil in the 1980s. After that, I moved on to an Olympus Trip 35 and a Yashica FX-3. I stopped photographing when the world shifted to digital — I felt stuck for a while. But over the last ten years, I rediscovered my passion for photography and began learning how to create images with digital cameras. I’m still an amateur photographer, which gives me the freedom to shoot when I want and in the way that inspires me most.
