Urban Cerjak

I am a hardworking versatile photographer. I developed my passion for photography in primary school. At age 13 i attended a special class for analog photography at the University campus in Rozna dolina Ljubljana. Soon after i started building my own darkroom, processing film and developing prints on paper. Later i enrolled in to the high school of fine arts and photography in Ljubljana (SSOF - Srednaj sola za oblikovanje in fotografijo Ljubljana) I finished my high school education as a Photographic Tehnician with my final project including 12 prints named "Sequential photography". After high school i enrolled in the Institute and Academy of Multimedia in Ljubljana (IAM Istitut in akademija za Multimedije) focusing in photography.
While studying i started working for a local skateboarding magazine called Pendrek, where i would publish photos, write and design articles. Finishing the academy left me to work as a freelancer for multiple companies, but i soon found out i needed a steadier work environment. In 2014 i was offered a job as the head photo editor for the magazine Democracy (Demokracija), where i worked for 3 years. In the meantime i was constantly preparing exhibitions and working on numerous side projects in the field of sports photography. I am currently focusing on extreme sports photography and doing a lot of art as well.
