Todd Yates
I started my career in 1990 in the Houston Post advertising department. In 1992, moved to New York City to study at the International Center of Photography where I was picked up by Black Star World Wide Photo agency and I continue to shoot for them today. In 1996, I took a job as chief photographer at the Southwest Daily Times in Liberal, Kansas. The following year, I moved to The Facts, a daily newspaper south of Houston. I was named chief photographer in 2000 and was there until April of 2005, when I accepted a staff photography position at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times in 2008 was named chief photographer. In 2015 family pursuits brought me to Tyler, Texas. Where I’m now operating in the eastern and north Texas area as a commercial photographer.
I have worked oversea in Ireland, Taiwan and Indonesia; I have also worked throughout Central America in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. With publication in Time, Newsweek, Life, Der Spiegel, London Time and varies newspapers in United States.
