I use now an EOS 1D X II as my prime camera for wildlife and travel photography, and use the 1D X for bird photography and backup while traveling. For wildlife I have an EF 300mm f/2.8L II and EF 500mm f/4 II, as well as two Extender EF 1.4X III and a EF 2X III.
