I have been shooting since I was 14 years old using my mother's old Brownie Hawkeye 620 box camera. My first SLR was when I was in the navy on board ship. I shot some frames about shipboard life and the aircraft we flew there. Racing was my passion after the service and I shot many cars and got some published in National Dragster magazine. That craving subsided and another passion took its place - photographing trains. My library now exceeds over 10,000 pictures of motive power from many states and four countries. I have made some money shooting weddings and some industrial assignments, but now I am dabbling in astrophotography. I now have a camera that will work with the night sky -- a Canon 6D with a number of lenses to match. Living in Las Vegas gives me the location to shoot the Milky Way and other night sky objects fairly close to me - about an hour drive from my house. I head there now about once a month corresponding to the new moon.
