About Trevor

I became fascinated with photography when I was given a 'C' model Six-20 Box Brownie, a developing frame and a packet of daylight papers for my 13th birthday in 1953. I am self-taught as there were not any 'Photography Schools' back then. (Not in the part of New Zealand where I was living at the time). I learned through trial and error, and if I was really lucky I would find another photographer more advanced than me to learn from.
I am old now, 77 years old in a few months, and while I enjoy the ease of use of the new digital photography I have had to revert to using the ' Sunny 16 rule'. You see due to my age, my eyesight is fading and I cannot see the read-out on the back of my camera screen. I have very modest equipment to work with, but that does not matter. I live for photography and would willingly go back to my Box Brownie rather than give it up.
