Qasar Rasaq

My name is Pelly Rivera and I'm just an amateur, self-taught and Spanish photographer. I live in El Bierzo, a small region in the northwest of Spain.

I have always liked photography but considered that to make good photographs you have to have a gift. In 2010 I acquired a digital reflex camera, I had already tried with compact digital and analog reflex. But I did not start to know and enjoy photography until I knew the work of José Benito Ruiz "A year of photography". He made me see that with effort and practice you can get magnificent photographs.

It was then when I focused on learning, I tried various disciplines but the one I like to practice is the landscape.

I usually do not use Photoshop to develop my photos, I usually use Lightroom. Little by little I finish my photos by printing them at home on satin or matte paper of high quality.

I am anxious to make that photo that once printed does not tire of watching. Until this moment with my photographs I wanted to show the beauty of the places I visit. Some are already famous, others are known and frequently visited and yet people are surprised because they had not noticed the beauty of the place when they passed by the same site from which I took the photo and others are practically unknown, streams of mountain with bad or nonexistent accesses in which the exploration and the discovery gives a touch of exciting adventure.

It's time to evolve but to what?
