Shelley Kline

"Begin Anywhere," is a good place to start. I have been taking photos all my life but in 2015, I was able to attend Ryerson's Photography Intensive Certificate program- it was dream come true.
I was born in Edmonton, Alberta and studied Theatre Arts at Mount Royal College in Calgary, and then attended the University of Alberta - getting a degree in Education. I moved to Toronto in 1995 with high hopes of becoming a professional actress, which sadly never happened. I've spent the last 20 years working in Administration for some of Toronto's leading companies but never lost my artistic soul or dreams of returning to a creative life. Photography, like acting, feels like a natural way to express myself and my vision.
As an actress, it was my goal to interpret and reveal the character within the script - as a photographer it is no different - capturing the essence of a person or a moment using my skills as a photographer is every bit as rewarding and magical.
