Rick Pappas

I'm Rick Pappas. I grew up photographing near Sacramento, California. I photographed popular music acts in the '60's, played music for a living through the '70's, had a career in radio electronics and expatriated to my home in the Alps of Northern Italy for many years. I have returned to California and now live not far from where I grew up. Photography has been a "constant" in my life for 6 decades and I would still be as comfortable with a sheet film camera or in a darkroom as I am now in the digital realm.

Photographs and photography have always been important in my life. Photographs have transported me to places that I've never been. Photography has taken me to places that I never would have gone. Both have introduced me to people that I never would have met, and have taught me lessons that otherwise, I never would have learned.
