Matthew Koster

As my father was a professional photographer, I was literally born into the world of Photography. As a child I got to play with Pentax, Nikon, Minolta and Hasselblad film cameras. Most of the time I was begging my father to let me use his Nikon F3, but wasn't allowed to until I could prove myself with the Pentax cameras first. By my middle teens I was granted access to the F3 on out outings, going trips ranging from just out side the city into the farmlands, to traveling across Canada to the Badlands. Sadly when my father passed, so did my passion for photography, as all my photographic experience was spent with him.

A decade later, and I decided to dip my toes in to test the waters, investing in a mid-range Nikon D5300, and opening up my father's F3 case to see what I could salvage. 2 kit lenses from my D5300 purchase, and 4 high quality lenses from my father's case and I have a wide range of focal lengths to play with.
