Landscape photographers refer to "the magic hour" as one hour before sunrise and after sunset. I believe the magic happens hours after sunset. I live for the dark summer skies that transform light from the mundane into the extraordinary. It is the act of doing as much as the photographic results that drive me. Words are useless in describing the solitude of the desert at night where the only sounds are those of ants marching under a blanket of stars. The bonus comes from the files we capture and bring back home on our memory cards. These serve as time machines to transport us back to a place where we can relive the magic and gain inspiration for the next journey. Give me a new moon and a semi clear sky and life is been fulfilled. I define that as passion!
