This is the Trona Pinnacles in Trona California located in the Mojave Desert outside of Death Valley. These unique volcanic rock formations lend themselves well as foreground elements. Nice dark sky's add to the allure. Shot with the Nikon D800 and a Zeiss 15mm Distagon. Once again my handy dandy flashlight was deployed.
