Steve Longacre

I started out working in advertising agencies back in the mid 80s. Back in the days of paste-up, mechanicals, photo-retouching (with an airbrush) and photo stats. Photographers used film and LOTS of it. I started out shooting with a Nikon FG in college and that was my primary camera for years!
I've since joined the masses and love to shoot digitally. It has changed my entire approach to photography and has allowed me to experiment and fine-tune without spending a ton of money on film.
My main areas of work now include Art Direction, Illustration (both digital and fine art), Photography (of course) and producing commercials for various clients. I thoroughly enjoy my work!
I enjoy shooting a wide variety of subjects ranging from aviation, motorsports, scale models, scenics, wild life and portraits. (guess that pretty covers most everything now that I look at it in words!)
I look at pretty much everything I do as a student and consider "rules" as something the majority hide behind because they aren't creative enough to come up with a better idea!
