I received my first camera on March 2, 2015. My 15th birthday. Immediately I’d fallen in love, i’d always been able to envision the most impressive, creative and incredible things but I could never get my hands to translate them. At least, not the way my mother’s pencil could bring a piece of paper to life or in the way my father could depict emotion onto a canvas. Firing off everyday on my humble, hand-me-down Nikon d5000 I finally found a tool to translate my vision. Beyond my vision all that was left was practice and technical knowledge and once i’d begun all that was left was to learn. From textbooks old and new i’d found myself learning the fundamentals of light, composure, exposure and camera skills. A year hadn’t even passed before I found myself my first real gig, shooting a tourist get-away outside of my hometown and Yellowstone National Park
