I'm a Southern born old school trained photographer for 30+ years...I shot and developed B&W images for my yearbook back in high school. Studied Photojournalism and Applied Arts in college, graduated from New York Institute of Photography back in 1990. And then nothing much photography wise...too busy in active military missions and women. Fast forward to 1999. Still resisting the fad to switch to digital..."that craps not right" was my mantra....Then, my father mails me an Olympus 2.1 MP camera to play with. I had just moved to the Mt Baker, Washington area two weeks prior. I couldn't believe this!! This is awesome!! I wore the finish off of that camera! So, a BIG learning curve was set in motion. I must have purchased ten point and shoot digital cameras in just a few years. In 2013 I switched to mirrorless! As an avid outdoor junkie, this is the format that works best for me.
My style...if you call it that, is entirely outdoor based...Americana, seascapes, nature, landscapes and wildlife is what I'm after. A constant cloud watcher and tide chart reader, I intend to show our natural environment in creative and visually stimulating perspectives, while offering awareness to our natural world that many people overlook. See you out there!
