William Waterbury Jr.
Here is the part of telling you, the reader, about who I am, I hate having to do this! I am a photographer. Anybody ever hear "A picture is worth a thousand words"?
I shoot traditional and contemporary nudes. I now shoot digital as well as analog film, black & white medium (mostly). No idealistic self-important language on the philosophy of what photography as ART, is supposed to be.
My view on how to make great photographs… look, see, feel, inquire, collaborate, rationalize, and push the damn button, never apologize! The most important things about me are, I like to figure things out, and I like to have fun.
I worked as commercial advertising photographer in Chicago for thirty-five years and had a bang up time doing it. Working as professional and having my own place, my own equipment, with access to just about anyone and anything for the business, allowed me to continue my artwork as my avocation. Commercial photography kept the lights on and the phone from being disconnected. I don't chase awards or need applause (I do like to show off now and again, but that’s a personal problem)
