Mike Palmer

I'm a serious amateur who after 50 years experience is continually rediscovering the joys, delights and challenges of the art of photography. In 2019 I launched my own website, monthly blog and Instagram account. I've joined Fstoppers to seek inspiration from its contributors, stimulate my accountability by posting my highest quality work, and contribute in my own way by responsibly commenting on work that is similar to my higher aspirations.

While technical aptitude is important, I'm highly motivated in reflecting on and telling my story - expressing the deeper me through my images, and hopefully by doing so connecting with others in some way. I realise the importance of personal reflection and how "practice makes perfect", "less is more" and most importantly, the links between "Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit". I'm seeking to combine my love of nature and the outdoors with the inner me by finding ways to express this through my newly-found creativity. I am my harshest critic: I also value constructive comment and advice from others and I trust you enjoy what I post, even perhaps moving you in some way.
