Col Bishop

My name is Col Bishop. I served in the Australian Army for 28 years as an Infantryman with the Royal Australian Regiment and I specialised in Parachute Operations and qualified as a Parachute Jump Instructor (#254). I had the oppotunity to travel to some exotic parts of the globe with my work, when I left I put away my Rifle and took up the Camera and started shooting in a more "user friendly" manner.

I live just north of Brisbane in Queensland (Australia).

My other interests include, reading, Military History, cooking, gardening, bonsai, woodwork and collecting vintage cameras.

I currently use a Nikon D810 with a variety of lenses, filters and misc equipment. The D700 is a 12MP camera and I prefer to shoot on RAW for optimum images and I use filters to add colour to a shot.
