Like many of my peer group, I come from the days of analogue (film) slr cameras, Praktica, Zenith and others, with these my love of photography began. Yes I now use a dslr, and a compact (Canon), and recently a Sony DSC R1.
When it comes to the type of photography, I'm rather eclectic, back in the day of film, I shot trains and city scapes. Then I got into landscape, and close up work, which I mainly do nowadays.
Another area which also interests me is Art type shooting. To be honest, I'll photograph anything that I think is worth taking, except portrait. Deep down I want to emulate the stunning work of Ansel Adams, monochrome, for me, still has that wow factor.
My gear is budget based, and sometimes, in the case of the Sony R1, used gear too. Even after 40 plus years, I'm still learning, the adventure continues.
