Sean O'Brien
32-year old guy who's had a pretty unusual life journey so far, I guess. Lots of things have happened and I had to take my development into my own hands, really.
Self-taught creative--I do many things:
Digital art/illustration (~2 years experience)
Writing (8+ years experience)
Photography (8+ years experience)
*I use a phone for photos, since I don't have a camera yet
Probably not going to be terribly active here, since I'm currently working toward hosting my own website/gallery.
I've dabbled in culinary art a bit and plan to add music to the list when the time is right. I've tried studying different art forms in college/university and taking the "formal education" route, but it doesn't work for me. I learn best through autodidacticism, observation, and just diving into things; needless to say, hard falls and painful lessons play a crucial role, obviously.
Long-term goals include moving to Japan and starting a social enterprise with a mission to use creativity as a universal language and collaborate with people and organizations of various disciplines, and a vision to use this language to transcend the many barriers, rifts, and walls of all kinds within humanity and convey positive messages and insights to help humans create a brighter world for themselves and all living things.
In my eyes, life is a game that should be enjoyed--play it safe, yeah, but play it cool, too.
