Roger Oban
I started in a small town high school, doing black and white photography, darkroom work, and learned from a working photographer.
In my professional career, I joined the Marine Corps in the mid 70's, starting in the infantry, then moved into combat photography soon after. After a 20-year rewarding Marine Corps career, I continued in multiple commercial photographic labs across the country until retirement.
My love of cameras led me to invest in such classics as the Nikon F and RB67, among others. I reluctantly transitioned to digital with a Nikon D750. Film will always be my greatest love.
My love for nature brought me to a whole new world in landscape photography. Exploring what nature has to offer and looking for the unique perspective in my photos allowed me to expand my love of the darkroom even more. I hope that passion is communicated in my photos.
