About Michel

It was the analogue praktica Super TL SLR camera that started it. That will have been around 1974. Small image photo rolls, Fujica, Agfa, Ilford, black and white and color, 21 din-100 asa or 27 din-400 asa. The successor was the Fujica ST901 and then the Fujica AZ-1. With the latter I photographed for years.

In December 2012 I started digital photography with the Nikon D3200. At the same time I then purchased the photo editing program Lightroom and immediately started shooting in RAW and optimizing my photos in Lightroom 4.0. In October 2013, the D3200 was replaced by the Nikon D5200 with more features and settings. In January 2018, I switched to the Nikon D7500. My interest in long shutter speed photography began to grow where I purchased my first circular 10 stop ND filter in December 2018. Until then I was still using the tripod (a Cullmann) from the early days of my analogue era however it was replaced by my Benro mach 3 tripod in February 2019 after 45 years. The long shutter speed thing became a bigger and bigger part of my photography and in October 2019 I purchased the Benro filter system, with more ND filters added from time to time. The Nikon D7500 became my 2nd camera in October 2021, as I was able to realize my dream by purchasing the Nikon D500.

Landscape photography and long shutter speed photography are my passion in photography. Besides photography I also have my own website: www.micheljansenfotografie.com
