Kis Brink
Born in Denmark but have lived in Canada most of my life.
When the pandemic came the museum asked for photos documenting life in it. I didn't send in any in time but in the first summer and beyond how lucky we were if a staycation was recommended caused more photos of my fellow Tropical Canadians. living life I have seen the odd rant about.
The other thing that happened was as I swim in the ocean year round and most people take their recreation on top or beside it I realized people live here who by not understanding the beauty right below the water might benefit from that.
My ability to remember visual information sits at 4 in a 3000 point scale so when out for a swim I sometimes encounter people who ask where I've been shooting footage or if I am going to. Of course as I am not diving trying to put together the video so I get rid of the constant wild camera angles is even worse than post processing a photo.
My first camera was a Vivatar 100 bought before our first trip back to Denmark at 11. It died a tragic death in a fierce glacial ice storm.
My vision is getting quite bad so beyond having to make a fairly lateral move in my gear as a fully articulated screen went from failure point to needed I sometimes first see something in a scene at home.
I expected doing more photography to be about creativity but with climate change the need to document what is here and potentially won't be got added on. I do value being useful that way.
