I am a free-lance nature photographer, teacher, writer specializing in birds, and a master of image optimization. I am widely recognized as one of the world’s premier bird photographers, photographic educators, and tour leaders. My book, “The Art of Bird Photography” is the classic How-to work on the subject. The follow-up, The Art of Bird Photography II, concentrates on the digital aspects of nature photography. I was one of the original “Explorers of Light” -- a Canon contract photographer for nineteen years. After briefly switching to Nikon nine years ago, I now use and love my Sony gear.
