I fell in love with film and film cameras in middle school. I've always prefered taking pictures of animals and nature to pictures of people, since most individuals act differently in front of a lens than when they're face-to-face with you. I love getting a shot of person who's thoroughly enjoying themselves doing what they love most, even if the lines aren't clean, or it doesn't fit the rule of thirds. The emotion's more important to me than the technique.
I mostly shoot for my own enjoyment these days, and often accompany my partner (a digital photographer) on outings around the city. We occasionally take jobs from interested individuals asking us to shoot everything from motorcycles, to concerts, to products, to portraits. We haven't nailed down what we want to shoot if we ever start a business together, but I'm sure whatever we settle on, we'll do it because we love it.
When I'm not running around taking pictures, I paint, write, play music, volunteer at my local library, and work part-time as a floral clerk. Feel free to get in contact if you've got any questions.
