I gravitated toward portrait photography after a year long project that had me taking at least a photo a day to document life in the interior of Alaska. Some of my subjects were people, and despite the thousands of acres of astounding scenery, I found myself drawn more to photographing the locals than their surroundings.
I began taking a few shots of friends and family and realized that I became totally enamored with helping folks chronicle their lives. I like to have fun, and I try to pull that spirit out of my kit right along with any other gear I bring to a photo shoot.
People usually seek out a photographer to document a milestone, a momentous occasion, or even just the everyday life of their family. I am honored to be entrusted with such precious memories, and I take that privilege very seriously.
I've lived in the Fairbanks Alaska area for 15 years with my remarkable husband Matt. We enjoy camping, fishing, all winter sports...and long walks together on the tundra!
