I am first a dancer, movement analyst, choreographer, and theater teacher. During my research in analyzing human movement I was looking for an interdisciplinary way to track the shape of movement through time and represent it two dimensionally and three dimensionally. It led me to light painting. I put LED lights on my body, create a bit of choreography, and then collaborate with a photographer and do a long exposure shot of the choreography. What I get is a light painting that tracks the movement I just did. Light painting lets me paint with my body parts as I dance.
