The Wednesday Rundown 6.20.12

Howdy everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This week we have an interesting video on cigar photography. Of course you can apply this techniques to any type of product photography. You have to see how Brian uses a light table to create slick backgrounds. If you have a great and informative video you want to see in the Wednesday Rundown please shoot me an email jerrit@fstoppers.com .

Cigar Photoshoot:
Great shoot of cigar's using a light table. Pretty slick little device to do product photography. Listen to Brian as he discusses how he lights the object and his background.

I love Anna Bauer's tenacity and energy. And that 4x5 is sexy indeed!

Quite interesting !

Awesome video on Anna Bauer and her 4x5 portraits. Keep those large format BTS videos comin!

In the Anna Bauer video, what is that square shaped object that looks like it is held together by tape (it appears at about 3:03-3:04)?

It looks to me like something to hold some kind of lighting equipment, but I don't think I have ever seen anything like it before.

Adam, I'd guess it's some kind of light modifier, based on a ring flash. Even though it's not round it'd probably give a similar look, but without the round catchlight in the eyes.

maybe a home made square ringflash....

ike something to hold some kind of lighting equipment
