Are you a fellow wedding photographer? Would you like to share how your 2019 went working in this industry?
It's slowly moving towards that time of the year where we take a moment to reflect how our year has gone, to see what worked and what didn't, and to take these conclusions with us into the new year. Earlier this year we shared the results of U.K.-based wedding portal Your Perfect Wedding Photographer survey which collated data from wedding photographers to give us statistical findings about the wedding industry in 2018. Now, it's time to move on and see what 2019 brought to those capturing these important life events for clients all over the world.
Although numbers will change, I am sure that we will still end up spending most of our time editing photographs as opposed to what others imagine the glamorous lifestyle of a wedding photographer may or may not be. It will be interesting to see how the average price for a wedding photographer has changed or how many hours we spend editing each wedding, especially with more professionals starting to outsource their editing to focus more on other aspects of their business. Last year Canon took the lead as the most popular choice of equipment for photographers taking part in the survey, leaving Fujifilm as the least preferred, so what is it going to be this year?
You can also have your say by visiting the survey website and reflect on how your year has gone by. Whether you work in the U.K. or abroad, you have the option to choose what applies to you. Although primarily aimed at researching the U.K. wedding industry, it will be interesting to see how businesses of such a varied sample compare. Everyone who chooses to leave their email address when filling the survey will also be entered in a draw to win 24 months featured pro listing on Your Perfect Wedding Photographer.
So, how did your 2019 go?
