Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Another week of videos created for our yearly contest and we keep finding great ideas. David Price does a great job shooting a historical scene. With the help of photoshop and some great ideas he captures this candle light portrait. If you have a video that you think we might like to post, please click on "submit content" above.
Historical Shoot:
David Price shows us his very thought out historical shoot. David gets his strobes to mimic candle light, then removes them for the final image with some photoshop magic. This video is very well planned and executed. Forum Link
Shooting Birds:
This video has a ton of waiting around for birds... however the final images are solid. So check out Phil's forum post first, then watch the dedication this guy put into getting these photos.
Fitness BTS:
Isaac takes us on his BTS video shoot at a 24 hour fitness. His final images are now being sold as stock photos and look pretty good. Check out his forum post to see the images.

DIY Lighting:
Elisha revels his DIY ring light and some other light modifiers. He gets some nice final images with a pretty cheap budget. I will be trying his "cookie" trick on my next shoot.

I Love the every single post. Especially the resourceful lighting tips video from Better Tie.
Some nice little tricks you can pick up here and there.
I wouldn't suggest shooting through the window like on the "Shooting Birds" post however. It's not because you see clearly through them that it will come out great. But, it is indeed a nice way for lazy people to stay warm in winter :)
I obviously suck at photography and videography but I will keep trying to get better >_< Maybe next year I will win the BTSV contest! (I doubt it, the other entries were jaw dropping).
