8 Tips for Getting More Battery Life From Your Mirrorless Camera

Mirrorless cameras are superior to DSLRs in many ways, offering a wide range of modern features and capabilities that DSLRs do not or even cannot. However, one area where they still lag woefully behind is battery life. While they have certainly improved over first-generation options, battery life can still be a hindrance. If you find yourself sometimes struggling with that, check out this helpful video tutorial that will show you eight different tips for getting a little more life out those batteries.

Coming to you from Steve Perry, this excellent video tutorial will show you eight tips for getting the most battery life out of your mirrorless camera as possible. No doubt, modern mirrorless cameras have improved significantly, but they still generally top out at ratings of around 800 to 1,000 shots. I certainly miss the days of being able to head out to shoot without even needing to think of bringing along a spare battery, but on the other hand, it is understandable when you consider that a mirrorless camera has a constantly enabled sensor and is constantly powering a rear screen or EVF. Knowing how to manage your power will make a significant difference. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Perry.
