MyShoebox Launches Free And Unlimited Cloud Storage

MyShoeBox is a new photo storage and sharing site that just launched the other week. It is a free and unlimited storage and sharing site that can be viewed from anywhere. Like dropbox but for photos only.

Unlike other similar services, MyShoebox doesn’t limit its membership plans based on storage. They base it off of resolution. Free accounts can store an unlimited number of JPG and PNG photos, but limits the dimensions to 1024px. However, if you pay $5 a month, you’ll be able to store an unlimited number of high resolution images as long as they are under 20MB each.

Does this look like something you guys would use?

Ill register for an account. I usually like to get in on the ground floor with these types of things because after they realize they cannot offer "unlimited" storage all the new accounts will have limits on them.

This could be useful for proofing images for print. Send link to client, client approves, make prints. Done.

Great idea you guys. I'll sign up for an account too, in case it's no longer free in the future.

Okay the iPhone app is a piece of junk. It crashed mid-uploading, and now it says I have photos on there, but I can't view them.

Hi, I am from Czech Rep. and from here is also http://www.zonerama.com/

It is also unlimited and resolution is 1920x1200, but I am not sure. You can try it and you will see :)

BTW I dont work for them, or something like this :)

Jacob DelaRosa - That's exactly what I was thinking. I wonder if there's a feature to send a link to clients so they can proof their photographs?!

No RAW support... and I was soooo excited about this too.

Hi, I'm the Community Manager for MyShoebox! Our focus is on unifying your photos across all of your devices while offering secure photo backup in the cloud. Since MyShoebox is intended to offer a secure place for individuals to store photos we do not (at present) have options to send links to clients. Tom, you're right we don't support RAW right now. But we encourage you to give us a try for personal use- we do support PNG and JPEG. Let me know if you have any questions/comments or if there is anything I can help you out with!
Cheers
