Birds are some of the more easily spooked creatures out there, and as such, it can be particularly tricky to get close enough to photograph them before they fly away. One particularly useful tool is a blind, and this awesome video will show you both what it is and how it is used.
Coming to you from Morten Hilmer, this great video will show you how a bird photographer uses a blind to capture interesting bird images. A blind is simply a small tent that is designed to easily blend into the surrounding environment, allowing you to hide nearby animal without being detected. Of course, in the process of putting up the blind, you are likely to scare off any close wildlife, so you should expect to have to sit for a while until the animals feel comfortable returning, and because they are often quite sensitive, you will probably need to be rather quiet and still during this time. However, if you have the patience and willpower, you will often be rewarded with photos that simply would not be possible otherwise. And thankfully, blinds are generally pretty affordable. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Hilmer.
