Is your client booking workflow scattered around on notebooks or multiple to-do lists? Have you thought about automating the client booking process to speed it up and have more time to spend on getting new clients and bookings?
I get it, we all prefer to be out there shooting instead of spending hours in the office managing our clients' emails, bookings, invoices, and going over new ways of increasing the profit after the shoot. However, the more we put off analyzing our workflow and whether it is working, the less we will get to shoot because we will end up spending more time at our desks.
Andy Lydick, a photographer and studio manager at Abigail Gingerale Photography, revealed to JPEGmini how he noticed a decline in bookings the studio generated following the initial client inquiries and set out to break down the whole process their clients go through, in order to find any loopholes that may account for the loss of leads. The software of choice to record each step was Lucidchart.
Lydick generated a process map, one that outlines every single step their clients take from enquiring, all the way to receiving the final product. Knowing who in their business is responsible for which step also brings more clarity in dealing with clients and making sure none of the processes are overlapping. Furthermore, using a client management software that allows to create workflows, the studio was then able to set up email sequences that automatically are triggered upon reaching specific milestones, without having to be present themselves.
Although it requires time to set it up, the system allowed Lydick to notice an increase in leads that are converted to successful bookings, allowing the studio to focus on bringing in new clients all the while using the benefits of a more automated client workflow. Why don't you take a look at the example process map Lydick set up and perhaps begin building your own?
Or, do you already use automation in your workflow?
