While Ord recommends a print portfolio both for the tactile feel and in case your iPad runs out of battery or the like, I have found my iPad to be a very convenient and powerful presentation device if you can remember to keep it charged up and ready. Using Lightroom Mobile, I simply drop everything into web albums in the desktop app, and they automatically sync to my iPad, after which, all I have to do is fire up presentation mode in Lightroom Mobile, and they get a professional-looking presentation on a great screen.
