How Much Money Does 50 Million Views Make You on YouTube?

YouTube can be a lucrative platform if you can break through the huge crowd of very talented creators all jockeying for position on the platform. Of course, that is a huge caveat, but if you are interested in what kind of income a creator can make at the top of the pile, this informative video that features a high-level YouTuber pulling back the curtain will show you just what you need to know.

Coming to you from Think Media, this interesting video discusses how much they made off of approximately 50 million views (and 3.2 million hours of watched video) in 2021. The Think Media channel, which specializes in tech reviews, camera tutorials, and YouTube growth how-tos, has just a hair under two million subscribers and a total view count of about 160 million, with 50 million of those coming in 2021, which certainly puts them near the top of their genre. It is nice to see that being there actually produces a nice income, but it is also important to remember that running and maintaining a successful YouTube channel is stressful and demanding work that requires the ability to constantly churn out fresh ideas and content with compelling and professional-level production, and even then, that doesn't guarantee you'll break out of the crowd to reach these levels. Nonetheless, it is some interesting insight into the platform. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

I had a nothing of a gardening channel with a very small following (<5k subs). Over a few years, I ran out of ideas and didn't make any more videos; the channel eventually died and went 'un-monetized' but it took almost six years for that to happen. Since it was gardening, the channel had 'seasons' of views, when in season it was a few hundred a month easy. Worth it if you make quality videos as you can have residual income for years. Just if you make enough, don't forget those taxes as you will get forums from google at the end of the year!

Interesting... thx Alex

I'm guessing an insane amount of work went into getting to 50 million views and being really good at what you do. Interesting to see the actual $$$$$$ numbers...

Probably not that much after you subtract the cost of actually producing the content, and then split the profits amongst the team members.

YouTubers love to show much revenue they made, but it doesn't mean anything if they don't actually turn a profit.

$380k isn't even that much considering the work that goes into producing the content. It's like $1,300 per video.

This guy is purely using photography as what he loves to refer as "niche" for his "content creator" income . I am not a fan of this type of drive and hype. But be aware, his company is a 9 people team. So nothing you see in this video is complete, don't look at the money as being income from photography this is not about the business of photography.

I only have 12 million views and made a little over 30k in 5 years. (Shameless plug, please watch for .00003 cents)
