Congratulations to the winners!

Underwater photography is one of the most difficult genres to shoot. Despite that, there were some fantastic images submitted for this Critique.

Congratulations to fred lefeuvre for submitting the highest rated community image and to Taylor MacDonald for being the randomly selected entrant to win a free Fstoppers original tutorial. We will be in touch with both of you via your Fstoppers profile to claim your prize.

After reviewing the 20 selected images, let us know if you think Lee and Patrick's assessment was on point or if you think they missed some key discussion points.

If you missed your chance to participate in this episode, join us for the next one where Brian Rodgers Jr. will be making a guest appearance to critique your best product images.

Rules & Prizes

Do you want to know how to improve your underwater photos? Submit your best shots now for a chance to receive feedback and win one of two Fstoppers' original tutorials.

For our next episode of Critique the Community, we invite you to submit up to three of your best underwater images for feedback. It doesn't matter whether your image is of a model, like our featured image shot by Jennifer Tallerico, or includes another type of subject, as long as the shoot took place underwater, it will be eligible for the contest.

This is one of the most challenging genres of photography to produce high quality photos in, let's see if your images get the approval of your community members. Once you've uploaded your submissions, we invite you to scroll through everyone else's shots to rate and comment on them. The easiest way to do this is by using your keyboard's arrow keys and number pad. If you leave comments, please make sure they are encouraging and helpful.

Submissions will be accepted through September 26th.

perhaps you should have just made a rule about no aquarium photography. I love both of you guys you are so funny when you bicker over the photos. And Patrick don't die we love you!

It's a funny coincidence because we released today my first videoclip I realised for a local band from my city and it was mostly shoot underwater !!
I'll be curious to get some feedback about it :)
It's my first clip and it was shoot with my D810 and the slomo were shot with a GH4 borrowed from a friend.

agree about the aquarium rule...and perhaps there should be an addition about photo shopping and composite image. For actual underwater photographers, this is an extremely demanding genre not including the component of keeping your butt safe as a diver/photographer. Congrats to the underwater photographers as you submitted some very nice images.

My congrats to the community that finally got it right. My entry to the underwater contest is in fact a snapshot taken with my cell phone of the ceiling of an elevator in Oslo.
