10 Ways to Find Your Creative Voice

There is a lot to learn in photography, and along the way, you also have to find your creative voice and learn to express it in your work. If you are struggling to find your own, this great video will give you 10 ways to find what makes your creative brain tick.

Coming to you from Brooke Shaden, this great video discusses 10 ways to find your creative voice as a photographer. Personally, I think one of the most important things is simply consistent practice. As Shaden mentions, this does not have to be anything extreme, but simply getting out and shooting consistently will keep your skills sharp and allow you to start being more introspective about what you are doing and why you are making the choices you are. One thing I have found that really helps is to try recreating shots of photographers you admire. In doing this, you will pick apart all the details of the images, and you will start to find pieces that you like and want to incorporate into your own work. Eventually, you will start to take all the pieces you have received from other photographers and mold them into your own original creative vision. Check out the video above for lots of great things to try.
