Posing a single person is tricky enough, and of course, posing two people is at least twice as tricky. If that is something you struggle with, this fantastic video will give you five great ways to improve your couples posing.
Coming to you from Jessica Whitaker, this helpful video will show you five great ways to improve your couples posing. The tricky thing with posing couples and the trap that I think a lot of photographers fall into is confusing natural interactions between a couple with what makes for a good photo. A lot of such interactions, while natural for the couple, end up looking rather awkward and stilted in an image, and it is important as a photographer to be able to create poses that are more conducive to good images while still feeling normal for the couple so they can still embody their personal dynamic. This takes a bit of practice, which is why having some go-to poses in your back pocket can make the process a lot easier and less stressful, especially if you are struggling to establish a connection or find your creativity on a shoot. Check out the video above for a lot of great tips from Whitaker.
